First edition of Odisha Travel Bazaar from October 15-17 at Temple City Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar (OdishaLIVE Bureau): Odisha has been a hub of cultural and new age business activity. The state boasts of a lot of tourist potential areas for recreation rejuvenation and adventure travel. Despite being a culturally and resourcefully rich area, the region is deprived of quality tourist engagement and business opportunity. To boost Brand Odisha in the tourism circuit globally, Odisha Tourism in association with FICCI is organising the First Odisha Travel Bazaar from 15-17 October in Bhubaneswar.
“Top of the line foreign and domestic tour operators, investors from various sectors, leading airlines, wedding planners and travel writers are coming to attend this grand confluence of tourism and business. Foreign tour operators from Australia, Cambodia, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Thailand, UK, USA, Vietnam will participate in the programme along with 55 hoteliers and tour operators from across Odisha will participate as sellers in the meet” informed Dr. Mona Sharma, Principal Secretary, Tourism, GoO.
“The USP of the summit will be the exclusive buyer seller interaction spread across 2000 pre scheduled B2B meetings in a one to one format. Apart from this, Odisha Tourism will have special B2B meetings with leading investors in the domains of Hotel, Ropeway, Amusement Park, Ayurveda and Wellness, Helicarriers and Airlines and Sanitation and Biotoilets” said Mr. Raul Chakrabarty of FICCI.
“Also, a knowledge paper on Destination Odisha: ‘Investment Opportunities in Tourism Infrastructure’ will be released by Chief Minister Mr. Naveen Patnaik during the conclave” he further informed.
Moreover, to publicize important tourism hotspots, a familiarisation trip has been planned for visiting tour operators covering different circuits of Odisha like Buddhist sites, Golden Triangle and Tribal Tourism to make them aware of the tourism facilities the state has on offer.
