UCCI Felicitates Tata Steel MD Mr. T.V. Narendran
Bhubaneswar, 27/11: The ongoing Kalinganagar project of Tata will be a reflection of modern Odisha. By following certain quality parameters and utilizing the full potential the company will hold its relation with the people of Odisha stronger, says Mr. T. V. Narendran, Managing Director, TATA Steel India and South East Asia.
In a felicitation ceremony organised by The Utkal Chamber of Commerce & Industry Ltd. (UCCI), Mr. Narendran focused his vision on partnering the industrial growth in Odisha.
With an investment of over 40 thousand crores and more than 35 thousand people working on the site Kalinganagar is coined as one of the largest industrial project in India. The project will start its production from next fiscal year, hopes the MD. He also emphasized Odisha as one of the most suitable location for investment in steel
production. The state is not only suitable from the point of view of availability of raw materials but also as a gateway to the whole of South East Asia, he added.
With the advancement of different projects, Tata always cares for the support and promotion for medium and small scale industries. To maintain the quality and best of services, he appealed for a helping hand to all the industrial cluster of Odisha.
Mr. Ramesh Mahapatra, President of UCCI, praised the efforts and commitment of Tata in his welcome speech. The company has well versed ethical values for which it has made a name in the area of corporate social responsibility. Under the leadership of Mr. Narendran the company will rise to new heights, he added.
On this occasion, UCCI felicitated Mr. Narendran. The golden Jubilee brochure was also unveiled by the Chief Guest Mr. Narendran.
Mr. Debabrata Dash, Secretary UCCI, hinted on various programs and plans scheduled during the golden jubilee year. He also hoped for a humble eye of Tata Steel for the growth of both medium and small scale industries in the state.
Mr. M.V. Rao, former president of UCCI, had a brief presentation on the organisation. Executive committee member Mr. Pravakar Rout introduced the guest to the audience. Similarly, Dr. Geeta Padhi, Chairperson, – CSR Committee of UCCI talked about different development programs taken up by the organisation.
Mr. Narendran had a short interaction with the delegates and members of UCCI and the media present over there.
