Bhubaneswar, 25th March, 2016: Sabarmatee of ‘Sambhav’, an organization working for sustainable practices, Rohibanka, Nayagarh has been selected for the 3rd Shambhavi Puraskar to be held on 31st March, 2016 organized by Bansidhar and Ila Panda Foundation (BIPF), the CSR wing of Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys.
Recognition of upcoming social workers and their innovative contributions is the focus of this award. It also encourages more people to act as agents of change. A citation and an amount of Rs.2.5 lakhs is in conjunction with the award.
Sabarmatee has been working for the conservation of the environment in Nayagarh. She has played a crucial role in changing the environment around her and has also turned the mindset of people towards environment conservation, organic farming and women empowerment.
Anu Aga, Director, Thermax Ltd & Chairperson, Teach for India and Sachidananda Mohanty, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Odisha, Koraput, are attending the event as chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
