The Bankers’ Club, Bhubaneswar – About:

The Bankers’ Club, Bhubaneswar, is an exclusive club for bankers in Odisha and its objective is to serve the informational, career, educational requirements of bankers. In these days of knowledge economy and knowledge sharing, cooperation and collaboration are vital ingredients of success. It will help in maximizing professional expansion. It’s a neutral platform to build up continuous capabilities for banking professionals through shared experience and knowledge.

The mission of The Bankers’ Club is to provide an enduring neutral platform for fostering relationships and maximizing professional development through a series of meetings, events, activities and sharing of information, expertise and experience.

The Bankers’ Club, Bhubaneswar has embarked on a journey of taking up intellectual and social activities by leveraging on the enormous expertise and experience of it’s members who are Senior Bankers in Bhubaneswar and the latent creative talents of staff members of the banks. Although this Conclave is the first splash in a series of mega events that Club has planned to unfold , it has  organized several other activities recently like staging a play on creating awareness against corruption by roping in in-house talent of RBI, who with their flawless performances, drove home the point of the need for probity in public life.

The Club also organized cultural programmes during the family get-togethers where staff members of banks and their gifted children have regaled the audience with an array of songs and dance numbers which set the tone for future programmes of the Club.

Among the ambitious plans lined up for the future is a grand event of womens’ football, a sporting fiesta, with the best teams in the country participating, which would go a long way giving the much required fillip to the cause of womens’ football and also lend credence to the Club’s incessant endeavour to bring in the proverbial ‘drop in the ocean’ change in the economic and social order for an inclusive economy and an egalitarian society.

Congrats! Issues raised in the Interview by Mr. Rath and the response/views expressed by the Regional Director, RBI, Bhubaneswar , particularly on Financial Inclusion, has come out very well. Organizing such conclave in Odisha is probably for the first time in the last three decades by the Bankers Club, Bhubaneswar
