Mumbai, 04th June, 2016: Reliance foundations founder & Chairperson Nita Ambani has been nominated for the membership in the International Olympic Committee (IOC). She is the first Indian women to be nominated for IOC and will be on the apex body after being elected for the IOC session August 2 to 4 this year. Once Nita is elected she will continue to be a member of IOC until the age 70.
Indian Olympic Association President N.Ramachandran said that we welcome her nomination because she has done a lot for sports in India and has made Indian Football popular again after the advent of the Indian Super League. I just hope she continues her good work for Indian sports which will certainly benefit from this.
