Bhubaneswar, 25th May, 2016: OdishaLIVE will be organizing “Madhubabu & Make In Odisha”, a program for presenting Madhubabu’s spirit of entrepreneurship and impart his ideologies globally. The program will be held on the 28th May, 2016 at Jaydev Bhawan from 10.30am onwards.

On the occasion, Shri Devi Prasad Mishra, Minister of State for Industries, School & Mass Education will be inaugurating the event as the Chief Guest and Dr. Arun Kumar Sahoo, Minister of State for Panchayati Raj & Law will be the Guest of Honour.

A memorial lecture on Madhubabu by the author and orator, Shri Dash Benhur is one of the highlights of the occasion. He would be speaking on the Madhusudan Das’s contributions to Utkal, his views on the potential of Odisha in becoming a centre for manufacturing, industrialization and agricultural impacts.

The program is scheduled for an inauguration of a Start-Up corner to encourage the young Odia entrepreneurs in their efforts and in promoting them. A booklet will also be released on the legend called ‘Madhubabu – The Global Indian’ which is focusing on his life and time, his dream of Making In Odisha, his dogmas and presenting him on national and global arena.

OdishaLive will also be felicitating home grown veteran entrepreneurs with the ‘Kushali Odia Samman’ to admire the success and accomplishments of these self made industrialists, entrepreneurial executives, entrepreneurs and their involvement towards the development of our State.

The Editorial Head of OdishaLIVE, Shri Nilambar Rath said, “The concept of ‘Making In Odisha’ is not new to our State. Madhusudan Das had already given this hypothesis long before Mahatma Gandhi introduced the concept of ‘ Swadeshi’ by establishing industrial ventures like the “Odisha Art Ware” and the “Utkal Tannery”. In fact, Gandhiji was so inspired by the tannery during his visit to Odisha that he set up a similar venture at Sabarmati Ashram.”

The event aims to draw invitees including development organizations, corporates, associations, media houses, representatives from academic and research institutions & Government officials. NSIC, UCCI and NOCCI has joined hands as the industrial partners in organizing the program.
