Bhubaneswar, 18th September 2016 (OdishaLIVE Bureau): Addressing a Press Conference here at Bhubaneswar, Former Information Commissioner and Founder Member of CYSD, Jagadananda announced that Vice-Chairman of NITI Aayog, GoI, Arvind Panagariya will inaugurate the ‘Odisha Vikash Conclave – 16’ which is broadly aimed at a sustainable development model of the State.
Scheduled to be started from 19th September, the 3-days multi-sector brain storming event’s inaugural session will also be attended by Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister, GoI, Dharmendra Pradhan and Health, Information and Public Relations Minister, GoO, Atanu Sabyasachi Naik as guests of honour.
Odisha Vikash Conclave is a great platform where multiple stakeholders like Govt officials, Policy Makers, Civil Society, Academia, Research Institutes and Private Sector can share their thoughts and understanding on the development challenges in the State of Odisha. Aimed at identifying the unresolved issues for long term, medium and immediate action in harmony, the second day of the conclave will have 11 parallel tracks at 11 venues where stakeholders of respective fields will discuss the current situation and way forward.
Tribal Empowerment & Development, Disasters & Climate Action, Livelihoods, Food & Nutrition Security, Health, Water Sanitation & Hygiene, Education & Quality Learning, Access to Basic Services and Social Inclusion and Sustainable Development Partnership are the key areas on which different tracks will be conducted to prepare a development roadmap for the State of Odisha. Present at the Press Conference, organizations like CYSD, RCDC, HDF, Basundhara, Living Farm, Practical Action and Aaina briefly introduced their respective tracks and their objectives.
