Bhubaneswar, 24 February 2017: Odisha is going to complete 100 years of its formation, in 2036, and thus the next 2 decades from now are crucial to have a vision for action on how to explore the potential of the state to the fullest. On this backdrop, the thoughts of Dr. Santrupt B. Misra, CEO of Carbon Black Business & Director, Group H.R., Aditya Birla Management Corporation, is very clear.
“Milestones present a unique opportunity to reflect on the past and paint a view of the future. While it is always a good idea to think as far ahead as possible, we need to understand that we operate in a VUCA world, where the external context is in a constant state of flux and change. So, any vision must be embedded in a flexible framework to accommodate navigational changes”, describes Dr. Misra while in conversation with OdishaLIVE, a day before the ‘Odisha Ahead’ conclave.
The day-long conclave is to be held on 25 February 2017, at Hotel Crown, Bhubaneswar wherein 20 thought leaders, including Dr. Santrupt are going to present their ideas and vision for building a road map for the growth story of future Odisha.
“Odisha always had and has great potential. Its people talent, its forest and mineral resources, its coast line, its architecture and culture – all hold great potential for investment and occupying the leadership position”, he adds. While saying this, Dr. Misra points his focus on tapping of the all round resources of the state for it long-term growth.
Conclaves like ‘’Odisha Ahead’’, organised by ‘Invest Bhubaneswar’, are always a great platform for dialogue, for creating inclusive perspective and stretching the out of box thinking. “I thus wish the conclave great success”, Dr. Misra concludes the conversion with a note of greetings.
‘Odisha Ahead’ is an initiative of Invest Bhubaneswar’, a forum of entrepreneurs and start ups from Odisha and overseas, which intends to fuel the growth process of the state. The topics taken up in the agenda of ‘Odisha Ahead’ varies from industrial development, culture, tourism, urban development to real estate, education, healthcare, sports and even, politics. The valuable suggestions and insights of all the esteemed speakers attending the conclave will be compiled in the form of a vision document, which will be published at the end of the conclave. This document will help rekindle the pace of growth and progress of the state.
