Bhubaneswar, 12th July, 2016: The live coverage of the ‘Bahuda Yatra’ is going to be available on OdishaLIVE, the first Web Channel of Odisha, directly from the ‘Badadanda’, Puri on 14th July, 2016 from 09:00 am till 06:30 pm. The audience will be able to watch the Live Streaming at www.rathyatra.live.

After the immense success of the Live Streaming of Sri Gundicha, OdishaLIVE is looking forward to a similar response for its next broadcast of ‘Bahuda Yatra’.

Apart from ‘Bahuda Yatra’, OdishaLIVE will be covering ‘Sunabesha’, ‘Adharpana’ & ‘Niladri Bije’ on the 15th, 16th, & 17th of July, respectively. The Live Streaming will be broadcast on the 15th from 3pm onwards. Similarly, for the 16th the streaming will start from 7pm onwards and for the 17th, viewers can watch from 6.30 onwards.

A ground breaking record of more than two lakh viewers from all over the world was noted who were watching the live streaming of ‘Sri Gundicha’ from Puri which was broadcasted for more than nine hours and a total of ten lakh eighty thousand minutes on the web channel. An approximate of 4000 viewers watched the streaming simultaneously. Thousands of NRIs and foreign nationals from countries like USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Russia, Philippines, Singapore, Iceland, Turkey, Greenland and Middle East watched the ‘Sri Gundicha’ at www.rathyatra.live and the YouTube channel of the network.

The return journey of the three deities from the Gundicha Temple back to the main Shrine is commonly known as ‘Bahuda Yatra’. On their way back the deities stop at the ‘Mausi Maa Temple’ and accept an offering of ‘Poda Pitha’. Apart from this, many other small rituals take place during the event which provides an outlook into the Odia culture and traditions for the world to witness.
