Bhubaneswar, 01st May, 2016: As part of ongoing Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, National Aluminium Company Limited (Nalco) joined the Nation in taking up a fortnight-long cleanliness and awareness drive, which ended yesterday.
The awareness campaign consisted of cultural programs and promoting sanitation throughout the neighborhood and the State and changing the mindset of people towards personal hygiene and environmental cleanliness.
On the occasion, Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand, Chairman- cum- Managing Director, Nalco, said, “There are certain standardized operations which need to be adopted by us and implemented by us to have cleanliness. Cleanliness is a promptness and pro-activeness.
Priti Roy, President, Mahilasamiti, Nalco said that women should be more responsible towards cleanliness. I believe, if we are keeping the neighborhood, locality and nearby slums clean, it can be done by the ladies. The women who keep their homes clean and livable give a message to all, Be Clean, Be Safe, Be Healthy & Be Happy.
