In a very scientillating atmosphere Gandharvyan 2014 has organised at Rabindra Mandap, Bhubaneswar by Gandharava Kala Parisad, Powered by Punya Utkal Foundation with much pump and show. As Chief Guest, Minister of Tourism and Culture Shree Ashok Chandra Panda, as guest of Honour, noted Poet, Jnanapitha Award Winner Padma Bibhusan Dr. Siotakanta Mahapatra inaugurated the festival.

Eminent Shilpi Guru Padmabibhusan Dr. Raghunath Mahapatra received the Gandharvayan Lifetime Achievement Award – 2014 for the current year. The scintillating performance of Smt. Kabita Dwibedi made the audience emotional. Engr. Bijan Kumar Behera received the Gandharvan Kala Special Award 2014 in the evening.

Smt. Paramita Satpathy received the Gandharvan Kala Samman for fiction, Shri Ratnakar Raut for Poetry, Smt Kabita Dwibedi For Odissi dance, Shri Bijay Mohanty for Acting, Dr. Sudha Mishra for Odissi Vocal, Shri Niranjan Patra For Mardala, Shri Manas Ranjan jena for Painting and Shri Gadadhar Ojha received Gandharv kala samman 2014 for Sculpture.

In this Festival Dr, Debendra Nath Jena, V.C University of Culture and Shri Ananta Narayan Jena, Hon’ble Mayor of Bhubaneswar adorned the stage. The founder of Gandharva Kala Parisad, Dr. Dibakar Mishra told about the aims and objectives of the organization. The President of the Organisation gave the welcome speech. The vote of thanks was delivered by the secretary and Editor General Smt. Gayatri Mishra.

The student of Gandharva Kala Parisad Presented Odissi dance and folk Dance performances. The student of Vocal Department of the Organisation encharmed the evening with Odissi Vocal Composition on Rain, under the able guidance of Shree Sarbeswar Baitharu. The famous Odishi Dancing Duo Shri Ramesh jena and Madhusmita Mohanty made the audience speechless by their spellbound performance.

The Folk Dance is one of the ancient dance of  Indian society. The tiny tots showcased their Folk Dance on the occasion of Gandharvayan kala Samman.
